European Union Education and Training 2020

In keeping with their economic and social objectives, EU Member States work together in the field of Education with the aim of responding coherently to common challenges. This strategy is referred to as the Education and Training 2020 programme (ET2020) and includes sharing examples of good policy and practice, setting benchmarks, and tracking progress against key indicators. The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development is a group of 34 countries, founded in 1961 to stimulate economic progress and world trade. It provides a platform to compare policy experiences, seek answers to common problems, identify good practices and coordinate the domestic and international policies of its members.
