Skills and Learning: Interactive Support

Task and Exemplification Library Task and Exemplification Library

CCEA has created a new task and exemplification library incorporating all Key Stages, from Foundation Stage through to Key Stages 1, 2 & 3, in one easy to access place. All CCEA created assessment tasks, for primary and post primary, can be easily accessed with no log in required.

Tasks in Communication, Using Mathematics and Using ICT can be used to support the development and, if appropriate, the assessment of the Cross-Curricular Skills. The library also contains guidance about using tasks and levelling pupil work in the new Useful Documents section.

We have collected pieces of pupil work for Communication, Using Mathematics and Using ICT into an Exemplification Library. Each sample of work has been given a level using the Levels of Progression. Referring to these examples will help deepen your understanding of the standards at each Level. This exemplification is only available to teachers in Northern Ireland. To access the exemplification, you must use your C2k username and password.

Primary teachers can continue to bulk order hard copies of Key Stage 1 and 2 Communication and Using Mathematics tasks using the new system.

In addition, there is the facility for post primary teachers to share tasks that they have created within a Central Task Portal hosted in Equella. To access this, open the Equella application from within My School, open the Staff Library area and then the Central Task Portal. Information on how to publish school created tasks is available within this area.

Interactive Levels of Progression Interactive Levels of Progression

CCEA has created a new interactive resource for the Communication Levels of Progression including all Key Stages: SEN, Foundation Stage and Key Stages 1, 2 & 3. It brings together the levels of progression, the expansions documents and the ready reckoners in one easy to navigate system.

The resource is designed to fully support progression. Teachers can choose a mode, select a requirement and have a choice to either move between the full range of levels from the Q skills through to level 7, or select specific levels as a focus. In addition, teachers are able to view related tasks and exemplification linked to the requirement they have selected.
