Standard Setting Events for the Levels of Progression in Using Mathematics at Key Stage 3

Teachers are invited to attend Key Stage 3 Standard Setting Events. The events will be ½ day sessions and teachers can choose to attend in either the morning or afternoon, depending on location and suitability.

These events are offered to teachers who will be involved in the assessment of Using Mathematics at Key Stage 3 in the school year 2016/17.

Purpose of the Standard Setting Events

  • To ensure teachers are fully aware of the requirements for assessment and moderation of Using Mathematics at Key Stage 3 for 2016/17; and
  • To ensure teachers involved in the assessment of Using Mathematics at Key Stage 3 understand the standards in relation to the Levels of Progression.

Teachers should note these Standard Setting Events are intended to support the assessment of Using Mathematics, even if this skill is not being externally moderated in your school in the school year 2016/17.
