Progress File is an integral component of the Training for Success (TfS) programme organised and funded by the Department for the Economy (DfE). Progress File aims to ensure that all learners receive a practical worked-based training and the appropriate guidance encouraging personal and skills development, making them job ready to enter successfully into the labour market.
CCEA Regulation has been tasked by DfE to provide training and materials to support Progress File used in a training environment. CCEA Regulation provides:
- Progress File Presenter and Materials (Widening Horizons for Occupational Training) for each trainee
- Support Sessions on the use of Progress File
- Guidance Materials supporting the delivery of Progress File in training
Progress File has two parts:
Widening Horizons for Occupational Training materials
Aimed at 16-18 year old trainees, these materials help to consolidate existing learning, ensure formative development and enhance opportunities for progression. These materials include the appropriate processes which provide opportunities to produce evidence for Employability and Personal Development qualifications.
In 2014 these materials were updated to ensure their content and layout remained relevant to learners’ needs. These materials are specific to a training environment.
The Presenter is a black professional looking folder which carries the learner’s curriculum vitae, their personal statement, work experience and skills records, and a record of all their achievements and qualifications.
